Hi, I am a 22 year old wife and mother
with hep c. I was diagnosed after trying to donate blood at a health fair at
work (I used to be a CNA) I lost my job, I had to quit nursing school of course.
I went through the treatment for 6 months and it worked a little bit but I have
stage 2 type c hep c. I lost my insurance so I received a letter through the
mail from my doctor refusing to keep me as a patient. lol. I hope to meet people
who understand and I pray for all of you and your families.

look at this site for all that is offered to me. Thank-you!

I was
diagnosed with the HCV in 97, and have ignored the virus for the past 8 years. I
was told at the time that nothing could be done as interferon was too expensive
& the British National Health would not fund the treatment. However a couple of
month ago I was told that treatment could now be possible although until
visiting your site I was starved of the facts. Thank you for the information.

Was diagnosed in 1999 when my then 12 year
old was being tested for reason for kidney disease, we are both 1A and have
bleeding disorder. My child had combo treatment and is permanently mentally ill,
and had been denied SSI 4 times. I have also been denied as well. We are now
taking herbs and using diet and prayer for healing. Your story is remarkable and
an inspiration to all. I have all normal labs and a very low viral load
despite probably having hep C for over 30 years.

know personally that the conventional treatment worked on. It did not work for
me as well. We are all in this disease together. We need to stick together. I
was blind about treatment options till NHCC showed me an alternative. God Bless

Having just had a liver biopsy yesterday,
and hearing from the doctor today about the "preliminary" results, I'm told that
I probably have cirrhosis, brought on by hepatitis C, which I've apparently had
for many years. I've never abused alcohol, and wasn't an intravenous drug user.
My doctor tells me that I will definitely have to have interferon injections, as
well as some pills, but, having found this site, I'm hoping that there are
effective treatment alternatives that I'll learn about here.

It is sites like this and the dedicated
people who started it, and work to maintain it that give hope and inspiration
and information to the rest of us who are newly diagnosed and looking for all
the information possible. Most of us who are diagnosed, are surprised, scared,
unsure. and are looking for support from those who have taken the journey
farther against the dragon then we have. We are grateful.

I was diagnosed in 2000 right after my
brother died from hep-c complications. I had a biopsy done to confirm then
waited for the new medication (peg-rib-interferon) to come out and just now got
enrolled in study group for meds. I've been all over the web looking for
anything that could give me hope that this dreaded mess could be cleared up or
even whipped out. Unfortunatly all i ever saw or read was the bad stuff about
hep-c. That was until i found your site. Thank you .....moose..

I found out I had Hep C a few weeks ago.
Routine lab work made it obvious, yet my practioner told me my labs were great,
perfectly normal. As I work in the health care field, I have access to my test
results and was horrified to see that Hep C was detected. I am now preparing for
starting treatment and possible legal action. Scared and angry. Getting a new

suggested getting tested for Hep B before receiving the vaccine. My hepatic

Am I happy to find this site. I was
diagnosed 2 years ago with hep c and type 2 diabetes. I tried to take the
peg-interferon, but it made me deathly ill and thinned my blood so much that my
Dr. made me quit. I had no idea that there were herbal remedies. I am 53 and a
grandmother and I intend to live for a long time to come. Your website is now on
my favorites list. Thank you so much.

Hello, My name is Pam. My age is 49 this
year and contracted HCV delivering my first child 21 years ago. After being
diagnosed 4 years ago I searched for information since none of the specialists
had any knowledge or answers. I am glad for this site and found information to
share with my general Dr. She has been a great support of my decision of
forgoing the interferon. I am so glad to hear so many have turned to Christ. I
pray for all and the families for strength.

Both my husband and I have HCV. I was
digagnosed in 94 , him just a few years ago.We finally saved enough money to
start him on a check up. Lab results show his blood is to thick. So now we are
waiting for more results to see if he has liver cancer. I know alot about HCV,
but nothing about HCV induced liver cancer, it's scary.Best of luck to everyone.

you're providing a wonderful service. I was diagnosed non-A non-B in 1987 and
with HCV in 1992. Tried two types of interferon combo's without adverse effects,
but also without beneficial effects. Also went the herbal and dietary route for
years. Had a liver transplant in 2000 and even though I still have a very
virulent form of HCV, it hasn't started affecting my liver yet and I'm doing
exceptionally well. Thanks for your efforts!

I was told I had Hep-C last year. I did a
lot of research and decided Interferon was not for me. I have been taking Herbs
and supplements for over 2 months now and I feel GREAT. I REALLY FEEL SORRY FOR
THE PEOPLE THAT THINK INTERFERON IS A CURE. When all you have to do is take the
herbs and supplements and you can control it with NO SIDE EFFECTS.

Found out I had HVC in 93 while I was in

Marines in 75. (Yellow jaundice, ALT/SGOT off the scale, etc. I'm now struggling
with facing the fact that I need to change my habits as I still drink. I have no
symptoms and get ultrasounds and test every 6 months. One thing I have noticed.
I began taking effexor for anxiety and my ALT has been normal ever since. This

2000. I lost my job and along with it, my health insurance. Need another biopsy
before the Doctor will prescribe meds. Can't afford the biopsy so I'm screwed.
First biopsy showed the degree of fibrosis to be close to the point where the
meds won't help. Every day that passes could push me over that line if I haven't
already crossed it. I'm following "Kev's Regimen" and feel somewhat better. I
refuse to just sit back and wait to die.

Hi everyone I've been searching the web on
everything related to HCV. I have been on all three (3) treatments starting back
in 1996, my body & mind could not handle them. My plates went too low, had to
come off. I recently went and had another liver biopsy, had one in 1997. This
time it's not good, on my way to Miami in June to see what they have to offer.
Please pray for me and my family. I enjoyed reading the guest book. Thank you

through 1999, and then comes back again. Each day brings new challenges...Can't
physically or emotionally handle secondary treatment so HCV will get its way

treatments are all destructive, but hopefully it can work. He's a daddy of
a 6-and 8-year-old who love him immensely and are waiting for daddy to feel
better.

This is only the second time I've looked at this site. It is
fantastic. I have read some of the stories. They are a grate reminder that I am
not alone. I am at stage 3, almost 4. Others have been there with me, many are
behind me, and so many have gone where I've yet to go. All give the corrage to
be strong, not wallo in self pitty and get off my duff to take care of myself.
Thanks for a grate site God Bless

Hello, I was dignosed with Hep C March of 2000 and felt
very scared at first. I had a liver biopsy and apparently I wasn't at a
high risk for treatment. I have to have my blood taken ever month to keep
track of my liver ALT count. I don't like the idea of not having any
treatment. I was told I'm not sick enough. But I feel like I have been
given a death sentance and only when I'm deadly sick will I receive treatment.
Well, that's all. God Bless us all with hope and peace.

Hi y'all, I was just diagnosed in July 2001 I'm now on the Peb
combo regimon for the last 2 months. Feel really sick, but I'm gratefull to get
to try this. I got my Hep C 19 1/2 years ago by a blood transfusion . I am
unable to get a liver biopsy because I have a bleeding disorder. My Dr says my
liver is enlarged, and inflamed on ultrasound. Im so scared, but I hope
and pray that God will allow all the meds to kill this virus. Pray for me, and I
am praying for all of us.

I am starting to do research on HepC, because my husband is
having a liver biopsy. He was diagnosed with the Hep C, close to three years
ago, but he has not been taking any medication and no treatment. Now he is
getting worse, he has been in the hospital since January 3 and we do not
know for how long. I would like to stay in touch with people with HepC
and or their caregivers. Thank you for your site, it is going yo be very
helpful.

HI; I've been in recovery for alcohol
and drug abuse when I was diagnosed with the C. I have 6 years clean and sober.
I decided against interferon cause I want what is left of my life to be mine and
the Lord Jesus Christs, which is the only way I can handle this.

My brother-in-law was diagnosed with Hep C just after the
Thanksgiving holiday. After a pouched galbladder surgery where they nicked
his colon they discovered he also had the disease. He is very sick and is
now at Stanford trying to keep him alive. They are working to get his
kidney's back on line, it's a horrible holiday season, but the wonderful doctors
at stanford have kept him alive longer than we thought. our prayers are
with him.
